Multiple Authentic Selves

If most people were asked to visualize feelings they might conjure images of emojis, written expletives, or body language. For this personal project, I wanted to explore a visual interpretation of emotions using the natural world. I find emotions often feel prickly, sopping wet, cold and immovable, or warm and blooming. Using multiple exposure techniques with 4x5 and 35mm film, I attempted to recreate these sensations. As each emotion passes through us like a wave, we become a slightly different person, overtaken by a momentary natural force. What do yours feel like?
