After the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan in late 2021, I covered the International Rescue Committee’s work helping thousands of Afghan evacuees resettle in the United States and Mexico. I produced, shot, and edited several videos and photo stories that were used to raise critical funds and tell the story of the response. Given the serious security concerns, this project required me to find creative ways to capture story subjects while maintaining their anonymity.
